Community Drumming

Rhythms Rising - Energizing - All Inspiring

Feel your stress melt away and energize your day!

Join me for an hour of facilitated community drumming. No experience necessary because we are all full of rhythm. Hand drums and percussion instruments will be provided. You are also welcome to bring your own drum.

Drumming in community with others offers a wide range of physical, mental, and emotional health benefits, including stress reduction, immune system boosts, enhanced mood, increased mindfulness, and social connection.

Benefits

Stress Reduction & Relaxation:

Drumming can lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) and release endorphins, which improve mood and promote relaxation. The rhythmic nature also has a meditative effect, quieting the mind.

Immune System Support:

Studies suggest that drumming can enhance the immune system by increasing the production of cells that improve immune markers.

Enhanced Mood:

Drumming can reduce stress, improve communication, and foster a sense of community.

Physical Benefits:

Drumming can be a cardiovascular workout, increasing heart rate and blood flow, and can also build muscle and stamina.

Cognitive Improvement:

The focus and coordination required for drumming can improve cognitive functions like memory and concentration.

Social Connection and Emotional Expression:

Community drumming provides a platform for social interaction, reducing loneliness and offering a sense of belonging. It also offers a safe and expressive outlet for emotions.
